Managed detection and response, backed by our own 24/7 SOC
Most attacks land out of hours, when fewer people are watching. Our in-house UK security operations centre monitors and responds around the clock, so a threat at 2am gets dealt with at 2am.

Alma Economics, 2024What MDR actually means
MDR combines technology with human judgement. It has 2 jobs: detection, which means watching your endpoints, networks, email and cloud 24/7, and response, which means containing and neutralising a threat the moment it's confirmed.
Automation does the first pass, filtering huge volumes of activity at speed using machine learning. Then real analysts take over, working out what a threat is and dealing with it properly.
The enemy is dwell time: how long an attacker sits in your systems before anyone notices. Alert fatigue makes it worse, because people stop reacting to constant noise. MDR cuts through it.
What happens when something fires
Detect
Automated tooling flags unusual behaviour across devices, identities, email and cloud.
Contain
The device or account is isolated straight away to stop any spread.
Investigate
An analyst confirms what happened, how, and what it touched.
Recover
Access restored, credentials reset, gaps closed, systems back to normal.
Report
You get a clear write-up of what happened and what we changed.
Inside our SOC
Our SOC is UK-based and staffed by our own analysts, not a faceless offshore service. Critical threats are escalated to senior analysts, and there's clear accountability for every task, so you always know who is responsible for what.
Because the same team looks after your day-to-day IT, context isn't lost. The people responding to an alert already know your systems.
Fully managed, or alongside your team
Choose what fits. We can run everything, from day-to-day IT to monitoring and maintenance, or work alongside your in-house IT team as their security operations capability.
Either way you choose the services you need, from security monitoring alone to full planning, compliance support and business continuity.
MDR questions
How is MDR different from antivirus?
Do we need our own IT team?
What do we see as a customer?
Talk to a person who knows IT, not a script.
Tell us what's frustrating you about your IT or security. We'll give you an honest view of what we'd change, whether or not you work with us.
