Your data, protected wherever it lives

Customer records, designs, financials, contracts. Your data is scattered across laptops, Microsoft 365, file shares and inboxes. We find it, label it, lock it down and make sure you can always get it back.

How we approach it

  1. Discover

Map where your sensitive data actually sits, and who can reach it.

  2. Classify

Label data by sensitivity so the right protections follow it.

  3. Protect

Encryption, access controls and data loss prevention rules.

  4. Back up

Independent backups of Microsoft 365, servers and devices.

  5. Review

Regular access reviews so permissions don't quietly sprawl.

What's included

  • Encryption everywhere

Devices, email and files encrypted at rest and in transit.

  • Sensitivity labels

Confidential documents stay confidential, even when shared.

  • Data loss prevention

Rules that stop card numbers, personal data or designs leaving by accident.

  • Permission clean-up

We find overshared SharePoint sites and Teams before someone else does.

  • Microsoft 365 backup

Microsoft keeps your service running. Backing up your data is your job, so we do it.

  • GDPR support

Practical help with your obligations, records and subject access requests.

Getting ready for AI

Tools like Microsoft Copilot can see everything a user can see. If permissions have sprawled, Copilot will happily surface a salary spreadsheet to the wrong person.

Our data security work is the foundation for a safe AI rollout. See AI and Copilot.

Where data usually leaks from

  • Files forwarded to personal email to work from home
  • Public sharing links that never expire
  • Laptops without encryption, lost in taxis and cafes
  • Old file shares nobody has reviewed in years
  • Leavers' accounts that were never closed
  • USB sticks and personal cloud storage

Data security questions

What's a sensitivity label?
A tag on a file or email, such as Confidential, that follows the content wherever it goes and controls who can open it, whether it can be shared outside the business and whether it's encrypted. Labels can be applied automatically based on what the file contains.
Will data loss prevention stop people getting their work done?
Not if it's tuned properly. We start in monitoring mode to see what people actually do, then block only the risky patterns, such as sending a spreadsheet of customer records to a personal address, with a clear message explaining why.
Doesn't Microsoft back up Microsoft 365 for us?
Microsoft keeps the service running and offers limited recovery windows. Restoring a mailbox deleted 6 months ago, or files encrypted by ransomware, is your responsibility, which is why we run an independent backup.
How does this help with GDPR?
GDPR requires appropriate technical measures to protect personal data. Knowing where personal data is, limiting access, encrypting it and being able to recover it are exactly those measures, and give you evidence if the ICO ever asks.
